My journey as a hatmaker started by accident. I wanted to stop someone from throwing out a perfectly good hat—so I decided to upstyle it, giving it new life by making it as unique as the person wearing it. The photo to the right shows my first ever Upstyle. That one act turned into a passion, and eventually, a calling.
I’ve always been drawn to fashion, art, and the beauty of self-expression. I love connecting with people and encouraging them to embrace their true selves. To me, a hat isn’t just an accessory—it’s the finishing touch that crowns your personality and style.
I'm a firm believer in growth, individuality, and slow fashion. That’s why upstyling and upcycling resonate deeply with me.

As my curiosity grew, I went down the rabbit hole of making hats from scratch. I fell in love with the process—the materials, the craftsmanship, and the creativity. There's something beautifully mindful about hand-stitching a leather sweatband, shaping felt, and turning an idea into wearable art.
When I upstyle a hat, it becomes a YOUR HAT_er—and every custom piece I make carries a touch of my own creativity and care.

What means
Your HAT_er?
Your – Because it’s all about you. HAT – Well, that one’s obvious. er – Those are my initials.
I also love the wordplay. It often makes people pause and think — and I like that. It sparks curiosity and conversation.
But there’s a deeper layer, too. I once read a quote by Friedrich Nietzsche:
“But the worst enemy you can meet will always be yourself…”
