Your HAT_er – Terms and Conditions

Effective from: 01.07.2025

1. Agreement to Terms

By booking a service with Your HAT_er, you agree to the following terms.
If these terms change, I’ll let you know in writing before the new version applies to your booking.

2. Hat Cleaning & Upstyling

I take great care with every hat, but second-hand or older hats can be fragile or worn.
If I notice damage or anything that could affect results, I’ll contact you before continuing.
All work is done by hand, and results may vary based on the condition and age of your hat.
If a problem occurs that is my fault, the maximum compensation is limited to the amount you paid for the service, not the value of the hat.

3. Custom and Recycled Hats

Each hat from Your HAT_er is handcrafted and made with care.
I often use pre-loved and recycled materials, which may include minor imperfections that are part of the final design and story of your hat.
By placing an order, you acknowledge that you are purchasing a handmade, one-of-a-kind item, and as such, small variations or imperfections are to be expected.
I do not remake exact copies of past designs.

4. Deposits and Payment

A $250 deposit is required to begin a custom hat order. For upstyling a hat, a $100 deposit and the hat are required.
The remaining balance must be paid before collection or delivery.
I accept cash, bank transfer, a valid Your HAT_er voucher, or another agreed payment method.

5. Pick-Up, Payment and Unclaimed Items

I will let you know when your hat is finished.
If your hat is not picked up or paid for within 60 days, and no other agreement is made, Your HAT_er reserves the right to retain, sell, or dispose of the hat to cover costs.

6. Care After Collection

Once your hat has been collected or delivered, Your HAT_er is no longer responsible for any damage, loss, or changes that occur.

This includes how the hat is worn, stored, or transported; exposure to heat, water, or weather; or any changes made to the hat by someone else after it leaves my studio.

7. Refund Policy

Refunds are not offered for change of mind.
I limit any refund to the value of the service provided, not the original cost of the hat.

8. Other Products

Other items I may offer for sale include hat brushes, stretchers, shirts, and accessories.
I do my best to describe each product clearly and accurately.
If there’s a problem with the item, such as a fault or damage, please let me know as soon as possible so I can help.
If an item is faulty, I will replace it or offer a voucher for the amount paid.
I do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, so please choose carefully.

9. Liability & Warranty

My liability is limited to redoing the service or refunding the service fee.
For any stitching or sewing issues, Your HAT_er offers a 1-year warranty from the pick-up or send date.
This does not cover normal wear and tear, damage caused after you receive the hat, or changes or repairs done by someone else.
Please let me know as soon as you notice a problem so I can help. Postage for warranty repairs is at the buyer’s expense, unless collected locally.

10. Photos and Social Media

I may photograph your hat before and after service and share it on social media, my website, or in promotions.
If you do not want your hat featured, please let me know in writing at the time of booking.

11. Intellectual Property

All hat designs, photos, and content created by Your HAT_er remain my intellectual property.
You may not copy, reuse, or distribute any designs or content without my written permission.
